In the heart of the Pikes Peak region there is a unique resort village captured by pine covered mountains, two waterfalls, and a trout lake. It is appropriately called Green Mountain Falls. The village is populated primarily by summer homes, and well known for its scenery, the 1890 Victorian gazebo in the center of the lake, three small restaurants, hiking trails, and the Green Box Festival. Mountain Symphony is perfectly located on a quiet, wooded road, a short walk to Catamount Falls trail heads.

Exploring the Village

Green Mountain Falls is a small village with a year-round population of 900…it is quiet and there is no traffic. You can walk most anywhere in 20 minutes. There are two waterfalls to discover, a lake to fish for trout, a park to picnic and three small restaurants including the most popular breakfast spot in the entire region. You can take a trail that follows the falls up to a meadow with wild strawberries and a magnificent view of the village and continue on, if you wish, to one of Pikes Peak reservoirs to fish for wild trout. Or…you can simply\ sit at “Mountain Symphony” and listen to the wind in the pines and distant water falls while your children explore the small stream.

Green Box Festival

Green Box provides exemplary visual and performing arts experiences through events anchored by the annual summer arts festival along with a series of programming throughout the year; with something available every single day of the year. Depending on when you are visiting, you may experience everything from world class ballet to classic blue grass music to art lessons.

Wildlife

We have our favorites, as I am certain you will. Deer can be seen most every day grazing on the grass in front of the house, chipmunks entertain and, if you are lucky, very shy bears may be seen on the mountain. Canadian geese arrive every spring and stay for the summer. They can be seen all over the town, some with their young goslings. We encourage you to enjoy the animals but respect their natural fear of humans and give them their space by not approaching them. When driving be on the outlook for geese who regularly choose the middle of the lake road to sun.
