At the base of Pikes Peak there is a village called Green Mountain Falls where a tumbling stream carries cool snow melt, from a cascading waterfall, to the village’s trout lake. Along this stream, a short walk from the falls, you will discover Mountain Symphony, an architectural statement that defines mountain vacation living in a new three bedroom single level design. More
Borrowing from the classic mountain cabin architecture of the area, David Banta* created a design for Mountain Symphony that utilizes local stone and hardwoods to blend the classic ambiance of an early 1900’s log-sided cabin with the comforts of today.
The design features an open great room that envelops the common functions of the house: cooking, dining, and social. It is equipped, like a luxury home, with a chef’s table for dining, gas commercial style stove, large refrigerator and icemaker, prep island, pantry, 60”Sony television, DVD, Wi-Fi, and a large wood burning fireplace.
A unique feature of the house is this dual purpose room. The media center contains large swinging panels that allow this room to be either open to the great room or closed for privacy. When the panels are open, they function as doors turning the room into a bedroom with a convertible couch that has a comfortable custom memory foam mattress, hanging wardrobe and drawers. When the bedroom is not in use, the panels are stowed into the entertainment center to create a flowing great room that will include a study that is perfect for reading or catching up on your e-mail.
In many houses, this would be the master. It is spacious, has a California King, large closet, plenty of drawers, and an en-suite bathroom.
A comfortable spa style room with walk-in closet, fireplace, reading area, and large windows. It has an en-suite bath with his and her sinks, large spa shower, and toilet room.
Laundry facilities are off the hall…convenient to both bedrooms. It includes front loading washer and dryer, folding area and linen storage.
Oversized two car garages.
An outside dining and lounging area, off the kitchen, includes a gas BBQ, table and six lounge chairs.
